I see they're fixing up some SPECS and roadworks there. And just after I was delighted about the M11 roadworks being finished. Any ideas how long they'll be "working" on that road?

I noticed those on Sunday morning. Those posts looked permanent to me.

Well they looked permanent on the M11 too but they've gone now.

Must cost a fortune to install those things, still you have to invest in your business before you turn in the profit.

Is this near the Waltham Abbey junction? If so I believe they're doing a lot of work on the tunnel and they're likely to be in place for some time.
I stand to be corrected on this though....

No. 18 months means 12 months. There are penalty clauses and bonus clauses these days so the quote is *huge* and then, surprise surprise, they come in EARLY! Baldock bypass for example.

Plenty more money in the early finishing bonus easily achieved by quoting 2.5 years for a 1 year project that takes you 18 months... Then there's the speeding fines too which probably pay for the labour...

I went through that section today. I think the signs said "60 weeks", so about 1y 2mths. Nice. And with roadworks on the M1 and M40 as well.

I noticed that some of the 40 signs had green stickers on the backs with company details on. I think I recall that signs can only have specific things on the back in order to be legal. If these signs were found not to be legal, would a court still uphold a speeding ticket? (I'm sure the scammers would prosecute whatever).

On a similar subject, if a speed limit only has a sign on one side of the road at one of the entries, can the limit be enforced at all? I've noticed 2 limits near me where this is the case, though at all other entries there are the requisite 2 signs. A technicality I agree, but speeding is a technicality if it doesn't cause any adverse impact.

Spotted the posts and mounts friday night, just hadn't gotten round to telling all.

Would also add that it looks like the works at the M1 (M25 to J10) is having SPECs too.
