Don`t expect sympathy this time - got caught using the mobile on the M40.

Very nice Thames Valley trafpol, but still reported for the offence. Be warned peeps - there is zero tolerance from TVP. No excuses, no stories - you`re nicked!!

Much as I hate blanket legislation because it stops good judgement (ie, someone making a quick call whilst sitting in a traffic jam) I broadly agree with this mobile phone thing.

I can't believe the number of people I'm seeing these days steering with one hand then knee while changing gear not indicating, swerving about with a phone at their ear in urban situations, particularly white van man and aggregate lorries. I'm sure the ban would stop accidents if people thought they were going to get caught so didn't do it.

TM if you need the phone on the go why on earth don't you have a handsfree by now?

You were caught once, and learned absolutely nothing from it.

Last time was for speeding

How stupid can a person be?

Dunno. Probably the worst case would be someone who makes a sanctimoneous post without knowing the full facts.

Obey the Law.

Oh I get it now. You want me to comply with anything and everything just because "it`s the law". Why are you on a motoring forum when all you do is ride a high horse?

Dead or alive, you're coming with me creep!

Towy, get a lanyard for the handsfree and keep it round your neck. Don't need to have the silly thing clipped to your ear all the time and you know where it is and don't lose it. Got mine from Carphone Warehouse.

DO NOT use a mobile phone while driving, unless handsfree, etc.

Sorry, I can't type in Braille.

Why have such a fast bike when the law gives a max speed?

You still haven`t answered my question btw

When caught speeding I was in the bunk asleep (cruise control) and got caught with camera by unmarked trafpol with "Hawkeye" at the wheel within two seconds of picking it up.

Hmmm, I may well be wrong, but sounds like the laws governing speed might have been abused slightly
