hi all,
the system on my latest bike is a nasty lashup beneath the chrome, and needs to be binned ASAP.

What I was wondering, is how likely am I to be stopped with a loud (deep sounding) system? - bearing in mind I am no longer riding like a maniac.

on a bike you ar 10 times more likely to be stopped.
a car can have any pipes it wants(only rule is fit for pupose)
bikes have to have bs stamped cans

It's a cruiser, plod will just think your a sad bd on a harley, so you'll probably get away with it.

You would be VERY unlucky to get nicked for a loud exhaust. Stopped yes, nicked no (unless there was something else illegal as well, as they always check the whole bike over when you've been stopped).

I've been stopped a few times. "Sorry officer, it was on it when I bought it.. etc." Every time they just say, "Get it replaced, and if I catch you again..."

You are more likely to get nicked for a small number plate.

Just don't take the p1ss when you are near a marked Police vehicle (and hope that the unmarked ones are not near you if you do ). If you are no longer winding it up to silly speeds and extending the gears to their limits, I doubt whether you will be bothered.
