Evening,

Any help would be appreciated here on this one. This morning I was issued a parking ticket for being parked in a loading bay past 8am for longer than 15 mins. Now, hairy muff, but this is where I think I am innocent!!

The road has been closed for several weeks for road works and I was under the impression (from a letter posted on the flat door by a resident with feedback from a council meeting stating that the loading bay and double red lines would be free to park on) that the loading bay would thus be the same as a normal parking space since the road is closed and all other parking spaces down the road are open and the loading bay poses no blocks or such like.

Anyone able to shed any light? I have searched google and cannot find any number to call for help!

Thank you

rewc

You are lucky. I had my car lifted whilst parked on a road that has been shut off whilst Wembley Stadium is being rebuilt. There is a hotel and you have to go in and get a token for the car park. I was in the hotel 10 minutes and when I went outside my car was in the air. I was lucky that they told me where it was being taken and to cut a long story short I got the car back in less than 2 hours but £190 lighter.
Incedentaly you can only get the vehicle back if you produce your V5, or in my case of a lease car a letter from the leasing company authorising you to drive it. Not much fun if you've gone to London for the day with the wife and kids.
I now have a hate of Brent Council and hope that Wembley Stadium is never finished.

Check to see if the controlled parking zone notice is still intact at the entrance to the area, that might represent the easiest getout.

Return flight + 2 days storage at a guess.

Being done for GBH more like it, imagine some nice gentlemen at the compound saying "Sorry Sir, I need to see the V5"
