Question for off-duty BiB...
Discussion
Chaps,
The other day, I ventured past one of our shiny, new local stations.
In amongst the car park compound, I couldn't help noticing one or two very serious looking motorbikes.
These were clearly the property of officers within.
Now it seems to me that few bikers aqcuire their steed for purposes of stout rambling or hardy hiking: no, like the rest of us, they're a barely concealed passport to various levels of motoring hedonism.
So when you're off duty, razzing forth with the best of 'em, what would or is your reaction to other, fellow enthusiasts who are, shall we say enthusing themselves?
If the response tends towards the laissez faire, what does this say about regs in relation to speed enforcement generally?
{This only occurred to me yesterday when I hauled in a biker which subsequently resulted in the usual mutual appreciation society
}

}A good friend of mine, who is a Police Officer, owns a rather nice Suzuki GSXR-600 (i think that is correct?).
He takes the attitude that it was designed and built to be enjoyed.
funnily enough he got caught in exactly the same speed trap on the A83 as myself although he was carrying about 3-4mph less than me.
He didn't get a ticket though!

There's a very good chance that these are actually unmarked police bikes: be warned!!....and careful!

Why should this only apply to bikes derestrictor? Do you not think us car-driving BiB enjoy 'making progress' when conditions allow?

It shouldn't at all, it's just that no rationale exists for such splendid machinery other than TT re-enactment!
So tell me, what DO you honestly think when you're out of uniform and a serial PHer comes snuffling by at only just sub-light velocity?

Unfortunately i rarely get to see a car driven well. Mostly i see reps in 3-series, boy racers in Novas, and born-again beer bellies in their Imprezas, all driving like complete muppets because they know there's nobody abround to catch them. I'm sure that they they are driving Gods. I'm sure you know the sort, three hundred notes on some daft induction kit, yet not one bit of driver training since the test when they were 17 years old....
What do i think when i do actually get to see a sports car being driven the way it was designed to be driven, piloted by a clearly competent car enthusiast, under the right conditions?
That's what i think!! Hollywood Wheels said:

More power to your wheels HW. Too much is never enough
Do you think i've blown my chances of Traffic??
Far less than the Deltafox and Turbobloke Hooning Act (Amended) 2006 has blown its chances of becoming law. We'd have to draft the pre-amendment version first...but I'm sure you'd make a good job of getting people to speed up if our Act ever made the statute book
