Going down the M40 yesterday lunch time in the Cerb, only doing a steady 80 as the wind was up and it was slightly wet. Noticed a blue VW Sharan following me lane to lane. Thought nothing of it as I continued down the outside lane. After about 5 minutes of the VW following me it put on the blues and flashing headlights and screamed past me - only bloody coppers!

I reckon they must have been waiting for me to boot it down the outside lane. Better luck next time chaps!

A bloody people carrier for fcuk's sake!
You have been warned!

I've seen a white S type Jag.

Good job he'd allready pulled someone and was on the hard shoulder cos I went blatting past at 90

Police must be raking it in from gatso's etc if they can afford Jags. Next they'll be in Bentley's

There's been a Sharan/Galaxy unmarked MPV on the surrey stretch M3 for over a year now.

It used to be quite easy to spot unmarked coppers by the 50 arieals that used to be stuck to the roof and the huge video camera in between the two officers. Now though the arieals are hidden inside the A and C/D pillars and the lights are all integrated into the grills and the cameras are so small they can be hidden away from view. It also used to be the coppers would only use things such as carltons volvo estates as undercover cars, but as discussed they are using all kinds of bits an pieces to try and catch us now. You should sill be able to spot the uniforms and flourescent jackets though.
Perhaps somebody on PH should set up the definitive regional guide to what the rozzers drive around in, at least we can then keep a look out for them.

Two central internal mirrors are a reasonable bet as well.
It will either be a Police car or a driving school car (Police or Civilian) if it has two.
I can't think of any other types of vehicle users that would have two unless they were a bit sad

I have a second internal mirror so that I can see what my 4 year old is up to in the back of the car (black SAAB 9000), sometimes when on the motorway I have noticed the car in front pull into the middle lane sharpish. As I go past the driver of the other car can be seen to be glancing sidways at me. Often wonder if he/she has clocked the second mirror and come to a wrong conclusion.

I almost always use 2 rear view mirrors. One for me, one for my passenger to keep a close eye out behind for any suspicious vehicles (i.e. possible unmarked cars) which I haven’t spotted. This has certainly saved me at least once.

I've seen an unmarked cop Subaru Impreza (green) around the boxhill area. It was on Sunday to catch the bikers I suppose, but they had pulled over a car at the time which is how I had noticed it.

I'd never have suspected an Impreza; it's almost as if they want you to be caught, otherwise they would make their presence known, wouldn't they? Strange.
