Some of you may remember I posted last year about being stopped for 101mph in a 60 on the Ducati.

Finally went to court today and although the magistrates commented that it was a "very high speed" and that I had 3pts from a previous (actually expired the day after I was nicked!) they listened to mitigating circumstances, apologies etc and even took into account the fact that I was overtaking at 100+ rather than just travelling at 100+ and did not ban me - instead they gave me 6pts and £300 fine (inc costs), so I suppose this is a result?

Now I have 3 expired points and will get 6 brand new ones - is that 9 in the eyes of a court or just 6 plus 3 ?

Think I need to be a bit careful for a while!

if the origonal 3 points are over three years old they count for nothing on totting up but should you go to court for and driving offence your previous record will be taken into account

P.S you got a result

That's what I thought - they are 4 years old in June so I will have to be very careful and then get a new licence asap to remove them.
