NIP is misspelt, what to do next?

Hello guys and girls,
Received a letter which I haven't opened yet, but you can tell it says "exceeding the speed limit".
The extortion device is a truvello on a 30mph zone in the central england area. Was daydreaming at very early hours of the morning so was the only one out there. My criminal and irresponsible speed was 33-38mph, so as you can tell I should be locked and jailed.
The "not so bright" flash of the truvello in my face was startling to say the least. I still wonder what kind of an idiot approves that thing flashing in people's faces. I'm tempted to go back there again, cover my front plate, and film it going off.
But my name is misspelt on the letter! On the envelope you can see that my name is wrong in more than one way.
My surname has got letters that were swapped, and my first name isn't my real name but the name everyone uses to address me at the office as I have a foreign firstname.
I don't believe I'm allowed to open this letter (yes it still is closed), I mean it's not my name on it. I shouldn't go into other people's correspondence, should I?
- Should I open it, and be a sheep, and pay for something I don't believe is saving lives (don't understand how me giving money to a bully will prevent people from dying).
- Should I ignore it as it's not addressed to me?
- Should I repost the envelope after writing something like "unknown" across it?
Any ideias?? I'd be very thankful for your views on this.

By the sound of it you are not the Regd Keeper to whom NOIP will have been sent in the first place and therefore,if in time,good service.
So if they don't get a responce, having named you as driver, then SCP may well go down the road against Reg Kepper for failing to name driver. It will be their argument at Court on the details they supplied.
If you are the Reg Keeper and if the name on the envelope is other than on the V5 then as stated hold fire until after 14 days then return envelope " No person of this name at this address". It may just work and it will be up to SCP to follow up either by correspondence or possible visit from BiB. By then you have the argument that NOIP not served on Reg Keeper as name incorrect.

That's the problem, it's a company vehicle and It's been more than 14 days.
It was sent to car rental company, then to employer, and then to me. So I guess sending it back saying not known at this address won't help because they will turn to the emploeyr again.
It's not looking good, is it?

I'd still send it back. It's up to the scamps to sort it out.

What ever you do, don't accept it yet.
If after a few wranglings and threats you think that you will be prosecuted, you will not have a higher penalty before it goes to Court.
I would be tempted to go to court on this one but try www.pepipoo.com first.
Do your firm allow you to use car etc, if they will cause you grief for driving at such a time of day then easier to pay and keep below their radar?

I was going to stop at the petrol station right after the truvello trap. The road was slow enough for 45mph, particularly since I was the only soul out there. A lil' blip of the go juice and flash!
Did you endanger anyone? Nope!
Do they care? Yes they do, they will walk all over human rights acts just to make sure you donate to them.
It gets me damn angry!
Today, in Aylesbury...
Dual carriage-way, round-about turning right onto A413. Mr "white jeep and trailer" man on my left was going straight over round-about, but I disagree that he needed to go from outside lane on round-about, halfway into the lane I was in, and back out again, forcing me to hit brakes climb inside of round-about and use horn to "alert other driver to my presence".
And then straight onto A413 there was a mobile speed trap.
Let's recap, someone almost crashed into me due to "poor vehicle control" or "driving without due care and atention", and the guy in the van with "safer roads" on it's sidepanel was there trying to measure my speed so he could send me a letter.
Felt so tempted to park up and have a go at him. Filmed it on my mobile. Really hate I wasn't filming at the round-about when jeepman tried to hit.
