I have what is known as a New Road Angel, never had any probs with it before until today, when it picked up two laser alerts seperately, however there were no coppers or 'local speeding officers'. Even turned road to check. Anyone else had this problem?

I have a RA Mk1 with laser sensor - it frequently goes off when there is nothing obvious around. Sometimes I associate it with being near big artics, on other occasions I wonder whether the spy cameras have some laser device in them. Have even wondered about aircraft overhead. Mostly happens on the Motorways, Maybe just some little kid with a laser-pointer having fun. If it were the scamerati they presumably would have had you by the time it goes bleep - assuming you were a little over the limit?

When I had mine, it did the same quite a lot.. Got used to it and as Beggerall states, its probably too late anyway.

Switched to an RA Nav (doesn't have Laser)

There is a problem with some of the old RA Laser sensors

They used to pick up electrical interference.

Mine use to go off when I opened the car door !

I've noticed it picks up laser levels from building sites!

Noticed it first going past some surveyors doing their bit at some road works.

Last week plod was lasering outside our village school doing checks, anyway I live about 1/2 mile away on on a hill at least 300 ft higher and the Snooper neo was picking it up.

I have the new road angel too - I've had one laser alert going past an army base and another on the M4. The first one was definitly bogus as I was totally alone on the road and could see for miles. The one on the M4 could have been genuine I suppose....I never saw a van but, I certainly slammed the anchors on! Nothing ever arrived in the post so, either there was no van or my evasive action was effective.

I get laser alerts when I plug the USB into my computer - from the cordless mouse

I bought te Road Angel plus as it works wire free.. however, the battery is dead, it won't charge so I'm hoping Road Angel will replace it. Only had it 3 weeks.
