Hi at the Goodwood Festival of Speed there were some chaps trying to sell a spray that reflects the flash of a speed camera. I think the idea was that it overexposes the plates and hence making them illedgable. They then claimed that apparently its legal due to some loophole in the law??? Can anyone confirm that?

Not condoning speeding at all of course!

Did you know that upon spraying it on yourself you become invisable to photography? All the celebs use it now to escape the paparazi.

Last time I saw this stuff they had a digital camera and it did actually work but this of course presumes the same technology is used in scameras.

They did however say that it was illegal whether the product worked or not to attempt to make a number plate illegible to the naked eye or camera.

I have a front plate, bumper mounted with a slotted bumper behind. Depression behind will make the plate swing inwards. By mounting the plate on a horizontal rod but off centre I reckon it will tilt nicely at speed All done for radiator cooling when racing etc. I've not tried it yet but it should work.

And I know of someone who got in a bit of trouble for doing similar with his motorbike (he had a little pulley system to lift it up). Didn't do him any good though

Who said it was in your area though ?

Of course it doesn't have to be trafpol anyway, most vehicle stops are performed by non traffic officers, simply because of the much larger number of non traffic uniformed officers.

You'd be pretty safe in my area as there is an abundant shortage of both TrafPol AND non-TrafPol. The local CSPO might give a second glance if she knew what she was supposed to be looking for I suppose.
