Hi all,

just gonna have a little rant.

We are a four car family, Wife has 1 and I have 3.

All are taxed, tested and insured.

Last night I moved our least used car from the driveway onto the road to get the mk2 Gti out. I left the banger (4th car Gti mk3) parked on the street.

when I got back there was the police and I'm thinking...damn someone has hit the car or something???!!!

Only to find that they think I have spray painted my back number plate!

I assure him this must be some mistake, or someone has vandlised my car but they were not having any of it.......I have 3 other motors on the drive way....look they are fast cars !!!.....why would I spray this when if I wanted to, I would do it too the modded mk2 Gti, M3 etc >!>!>!>!

Anyway long story with them at 12 last night...got a fixed 30 quid penalty......This morning I checked the car plate properly, only to find the sun, weather has made the black letters melt/very smudged !

Not much I can do I guess as I should be keeping an eye on the number plates.....but to be honest with you I think it has happend in the last week or so with the weather ! The plates are original 1996 !!\

Anyone else seen this happen?

Cheers

Rant over !

Take it to court and take the No plate as evidence if you havent adapted the plate it should be easy to see.

I'm guessing it should be my responsibility, to keep the vechicle plates in good order?
