Forward facing camera : A1 North, Grantham
Discussion
I was on my way up the A1 at the weekend, doing about 80mph, when I got flashed by a forward facing camera around the Grantham area (there's two in quick succession just before a roundabout...I got flashed by the first) I was a bit annoyed as I've done this route so many times, but also surprised becasue I was doing "only" a registered 80mph in a 70mph zone, and also by the fact it was a bright white flash coming from a forward facing camera...at night as well, blinding me for the upcoming roundabout!
All the other cams on A14/M11/A1 seemed to have been covered/painted/twisted (nice one), but this sucker flashed me. Should I expect a NIP?
Cheers, Dean

Yep - quite right. The Lincolnshire Police notice was a nice surprise on Saturday morning...£60 and 3 points. It seems I was doing 82mph in a 70 zone. Unbelievable, it seems a bit tight. Goes to show that the TVR speedo is more accurate than I thought, as I was doing a steady(ish) 80mph.
