Both are very good diffusers if installed correctly. The advantage of the old Target LE850 was that it could also be set up as a device to remotely open a garage door. This in fact was the original reason why diffusers were conceived and would make the installation totally legitimate. I'm not sure if the new LRC100 can be installed in the same way.

The BIG advantage the SLD 920 has over the old 850 (and possibly the new LRC100) is that it defeats the diffuser detection technology engineered into some laser guns such as the precision made Riegl models and the shoddy LTi 20/20.

Deadly Dog. Thanks for your response, very helpful. I had already read the reviews of both units on UK Speed Traps. However, both were glowing reviews and did not give me any help in deciding between the two units.
