Do you ever pause for breath?

Nothing more will come of it this time, but if you are local to the area you were in the likelihood is you've been "noticed" so to speak. So behave.

I got stopped in a Lotus Cortina many years ago and the very nice policeman said "Your rear tyres are bald". I said,"No they're not, they were new 2 weeks ago". He said, "That may well be so, but they'll soon be bald if you keep on driving sideways like that, back it off a bit, there's a good chap". The point was taken by me with no further action necessary from them. That was 38 years ago - how times change!

Looks like you got a nice warning, which means you will probably drive safer in the future.

Its nice to know there are real policemen still arround, though they are getting fewer and fewer.

Hence the reason why we prefer Plod to Scamera. One can take a decision based on experience and actually witnessing how dangerous the event was, the other just issues a £60 tax charge.

I have been caught (Honestly didn't know!) with 3 Bald tyres, and near side headlight out. (was my old A Level time of life fiesta) Oh, did I Mention the reason I was stopped in the first place was a faulty brake light.... Was advised to get them all fixed, which I did. No points, no lecture, no prosecution. AND, since then I actually check my brake lights works now and again, I regularly check my tyres etc..

It'll be the slammer if you don't clean up your spelling and grammar.

We have people in these forums who police it for us... (like me )

i was tanking it down the motorway about 15yrs ago and got pulled by the police doing an average 85mph by the the time they caught up....... got let off with a caution as they said I was driving to the road conditions ... ie dry roads, empty motorway.. I was very surprised as I thaught they were going to throw the book at me considering my initial speed I was doing when I went past them....

sensible policing gets my backing everytime

I bet that made more of an impact on you than just getting a ticket days later. Pity more of them dont take this approach.

Daniel, don't let these muppets wind you up about your spelling.
I have worked with some of the most ignorant, semi-literate individuals imaginable; and they were all lawyers!!!
