Douglas Alexander.

Notice that when they first started talking about road pricing they were very careful to mention, on every single occasion that this would be an alternate way of taxation. Hinting reduced VED, fuel tax and so on.

Now the mentions of alternative taxation are quietly dropped......

Gonna need some walls come the revolution......

The Government is incompetent, the money has run out, and they aren't being allowed to scam any more on 'tick'.

Ergo, tax people till the pips squeak.

Ach... und they now after cyclists. Or rather Kendigestion ist.

Number plates und fining them.. to fund more facilities..

How novel!

Und ja - agree the louts want sorting - but louts are wide boys. Will hit the safe inncocents. Yet again

But ist not just this.. ist about nicking graves if not tended for months, having mass graves, nicking houses which have been empty und unsold after 6 months... or which family may have kept as second home after death of elderly (assuming under inheritance tax threshold) but not live in. Und there are hundreds of little stealth taxes creeping in which collectively are great little earners.

Grrrrrrrrrr!

Welcome to socialism. I am afraid the Labour Party need more money to fund their junkets around the world, staying in 5 star hotels.

We are told this government is packed with ex-communists so why do they appear to act as if they still are communists? We get the usual BS that tolls are needed to stop cars emitting copious amounts of plant food (carbon dioxide) from tail pipes.

Blair's government, the TFT regime. Tax Fine and Track. Their answer to every problem, real or concocted.

Why oh why do we put up with this crap?

We don't have to. If everybody got together and fought this then the government would have no choice but to step down.

Why are the Brits so apathetic to all this?

I'm getting increasingly saddened by the situation we find ourselves in in this country. There is virtually nothing "great" left in Great Britain.

If I possibly could, I wouldn't take out a student loan or use any of the facilities paid for/supported by the Governmnet - sadly it isn't so easy.

They are trying to get more people to use public transport - so hike up the cost of running a car but at the same time screw the trains over to make it more expensive and inconvenient. Thats great thinking.

Oh I'm so annoyed...
