Figured I'd post this in SP&L as it's kind of about the BiB 
Down in my part of Hampshire it's good to see a couple BiB tootling around the area in a panda car (also spotted them doing it in a paddy wagon and a big volvo). Don't know if it's a permament fixture or just because schools out but makes a welcome sight to see them ambling around day and night (so I guess it's a regular patrol).
Had a maglight pointed at me a few weeks ago (wearing black, in the middle of a drive surrounded by cars in front of an unlit house) and seen other 'lets have a look at this character' behavour from them as well when I've been out at odd hours. So they're not just driving around but paying attention to their patch.
Brilliant, utterly brilliant and very much appriciated! Long may it continue I say.

Hear, hear! I'd happily accept a suspicous inspection if it meant the scum were kept at bay.
Unfortunately the only panda presence I ever see is the officer that bombs along the main road in our town at prescisely 7:30pm every evening with his sirens on. Either he knocks off at 8pm, or it's some not-so-elaborate attempt to suggest a "police presence".
