Hi can anyone answer this insurance question on behalf of my Mum? Shes got an mgf (never mind she's pleased with it) but might garage it for the winter and buy my car off me to use during winter. What should she do for insurance on the mg whilst it's in our garage, is there basic cover she can get whilst using her no claims to insure another car?

Why doesn't she want to use the mgf in the winter ? Is she under the illusion that convertibles are stil the same as 30+ yeras ago. I had an mgf for several years, didn't leak, cracking heater, demisted quickly due to small cabin volume.

I think she wants to help me out by taking my car off my hands who am I to argue? She also has visions of huddling up in a winter coat with frost on the inside of her windscreen like in her first car (hillman imp) 30 years ago!
