Hey all,

Just a question - in my area of Wiltshire (A36), there are two signs, about 8 miles apart - red background with blue lettering. Theyre chained to lamp posts and read "Police surveillance cameras used in this area"

What does this mean? Presumably if they meant Speed cameras it would say "speed safety cameras"?

Im intrigued - are they using bloody helichopters to watch people now?

Any info would be appreciated.

on the A6 from Belper to Matlock (Derbys) there are signs saying that they do indeed use Helicopter Speed Enforcement.

What next?

My mum (who flies light aircraft) was telling me the other day about the horrendous cost of keeping a helicopter in the air.

So for the sake of doing someone doing 80mph on the motorway (which in the minds of the sane and logical i.e not government or TRL)and them putting a chopper in the air to get em is it worth spending thousands of pounds?? OUR POUNDS FOR THAT MATTER!!!

The term "they have nothing better to do" really applies!!!
