I'm due to have the return of my licence after a 6 month tot up disqualification. bounce

At court, I was told by the clerk judge that I would receive a form to complete after about four months to fill in (yeah right) and shortly thereafter my licence would be sent to me clean.

Apart from the obvious lack of correspondence from the DVLA (note surprise) is the rest of this incorrect too?

I've checked the DVLA website and ordered the correct forms etc, however nowhere can I find a definitive answer to my question. All items regarding the time that Endorsements are recorded state 4 years (for the offences I committed). I have also been told that I will only have the TT99 (tot up of points disqual) code on my licence, the other codes (SP30 and MS90 (speeding and failing to supply driver's details) will not remain.

Any help appreciated. confused

I thought that a tot-up effectively wiped the points that were "totted", but only as far as totting up goes?
i.e. They'd still remain recorded for whatever period is appropriate for each offence (e.g. 4 years for speeding, 10 yrs for DD etc) but your total for totting-up would be zero.

Totting disqualification IIRC will remain on your Counterpart of Licence for 4 years after date of conviction. (Speeding endorsements 4 years from date of offence).

After this time you can apply to DVLA to have this reference removed.

Cheers DVD, informative as always, what about the offences that led to the tot up? Are they superseded by the TT99?

For the purposes of totting up, yes but as for recording on your licence, probably not.

Not absolutely sure but as these are endorsements then I presume will still be shown until removed.

The effect of the totting disqualification will remove the points for consideration.
