Cameras in Cats eyes?

Ive heard this idea being bandied about too.
the government say that at the present, they have no plans to alter the cameras that are in place now, as theyre happy with them.
If they decide to start putting them in catseyes, itll just make the job of destroying/putting them out of action so much easier.
Black spray paint, pick axe, emulsion paint etc etc...
Theyd best wake up to the fact that people will only take so much of this kind of surveillance before a big ruck is provoked, its their choice.

Exactly.
Although, i'd never condone such action.. 
A neighbour of mine recently mentioned that he had a nephew in the police force who'd told him that some new speed cameras were been trialed in cats eyes and were noticeable by grey boxes on the side of the road near the cats eye. Is this really true, can anyone confirm it?
Can't comment on the cats eyes thing but as for grey boxes chances are they're connected to piezo electric wires under the road.
They then pop up at the grey box. The cops come along and plug their video cameras into it and can then nail folk for speeding.
I can't remeber the exact name for this type of camera but it is widely used.
Obviously there is no way to prevent it taking a reading the only way to avoid it is to know where it is.
Geodsay/Origin Blue GPS systems are the ideal solutions for these types of trap.
I'd say that your neighbour's nephew is being wound up by his esteemed colleagues at work.
The grey boxes are certainly part of speed traps but the cats eyes I'd be sceptical about.

They might not be operational BUT the technology is available and has been demonstrated. Mojo.

Curiously, all reference to the evil things has disappeared from their website.
Their intelligent cats eyes are rather good, but I can imagine dumbnuts getting confused as the road winks at them in multi colours.
