Airbags and young children

Not sure where to post this but hopefully someone can help.
I have a Clio 182 with an airbag which is easily switched on and off for the front seat passenger. I have 3 children aged 5, 7 and 8. I believe that for very small children airbags can be dangerous and so we have it turned off. The younger ones require booster seats whereas the older one is over the height limit so she does not. Can anyone advise me at what age/height/weight it is adviseable to turn the airbag back on? Informed advice very much appreciated.
