Legal bunnies please help.

My father is a London Taxi driver.

Whilst stationary at at set of traffic lights he was re-ended by a woman driving a car. The woman verbally accepted it was her fault but was shocked (first accident).

My father dealt with the exchange of details and even spoke to the drivers mother ensuring every thing was correct. The damage was not significant and continued to work the remainder of the day.

He has since received a letter from the PCO accusing him of following the woman back to her house and verbally abusing her and generally causing a nuisance. He has also received a letter from the local police requesting further info on the incident.

The woman has not documented an element of truth in what she is saying but apparently a witness has come forward in the woman’s favour.

Where does he stand?
What can he do next, request CCTV poss?

Does the taxi system have any logs? Did he write any reciepts during the time he was meant to be there?

What he should do is tell the police the truth.

Only *then* will they decide on what to do.

They will most likely drop any charges if indeed there are any which could possibly be brought.
