Quick question - what should I expect?

I got home last night to find out that I have a ticket saying that I have been caught on camera doing 95mph in a 70 (on a motorway, to be precise), but I remember they were clear conditions and quite empty roads, for what it is worth.

I currently have a clean licence but expect that to change very soon? Is this offence severe enough to warrant a ban/court appearance, or will it be a fine and points (and if so, how many/much)?

Christ you better tell us which motorway that was you got nicked on so as we can all avoid it!!

If it helps at all, I can remeber reading somewhere that a guy got done for being over the speed limit on the M25 he was caught by the variable speed limit cameras over the cariage way. But as the the variable speed limit was not in force at the time he apprently got away with it. As a legal precendent this might help. Maybe Madcop can help with some more info.
Probably the best thing to do is send in the form and take the points and fine, I know its unfortunate, but what other alternative is there apart from moving to another country to avoid the fine!
Apologies if this wasn't very helpfull.
