Laws that should exist?
Discussion
Just a bit of light relief.....
I have often thought that there are some things that should be illegal on the roads, (and probably elsewhere). Any contributions gratefully received
OFFENCE: Driving a fast car unecessarily slowly
PENALTY: Keys removed and given to me
OFFENCE: Driving whilst in posession of a trilby
PENALTY: Hat to be run over then burnt
OFFENCE: Driving under the influence of elderly relatives or children
PENALTY: None, driver to be provided with earplugs free of charge, and counselling if necessary
Any suggestions?

Offence: Upholders/Judges of the law are discovered commiting the same crimes that citizens commit.
Penalty: The same penalties that would be bestowed upon the citizens.
Offence: Persistantly creating useless laws that are already adequately covered by existing law.
Penalty: Entire political party to be dropped in boiling tar.

anyone convicted of vandalism, must have an eye gouged out.
Have a look at Saudi Arabia sometime.
They chop the hands off thieves. Brutal, but does have
the effect of very few folks nick anything.
Also you have to watch out for the district full of
one handed folks.
Or have a look at Singapore. Spitting in the street
and littering attract heavy fines, with the result that
they simply don't occur.
Lovely.
I don't want a particular law, but a small change in the law making process.
All new laws must be proposed by a member of parliament. After debate but before voting, the proposing MP is put on a chair with a noose round his neck. Parliament votes and if the vote goes against the proposer, then the chair is kicked out from under him.
This way MP's would consider very carefully before proposing new laws.

I'm sure we could make an exception for some MP's and just kick the chair away anyway
(tongue firmly in cheek!)
