IMHO this video ought to be used as evidence to prosecute the cretins driving this Audi. Any BiB care to comment, follow up with the morons? They were bloody lucky the Mini didn't continue to pull out...

Am I looking at the same clip as you???

Car doesnt look to be going that fast tbh, its a single carriageway nsl and if the mini had pulled out it would have been their own fault due to lack of observation - its a pretty straight road.

What should they be prosecuted for?

Looks to me like the Mini started to pull out, saw the Audi and stopped, as there was no cars approaching on the side closest to the Mini they chose to stay in position until the Audi had passed. I dont see any problems from that except for maybe the speed of the Audi.

Looks like they're having great fun, racing up and down the same straight stretch of road again and again, with the cameraman chortling to himself, fucensoreding idiots.....

It's a 40mph limit not NSL.

He's got a right to not expect traffic to be approaching at more than the prevailing limit. Driving like nobs as far as I can see - no restraint or allowance for the mistakes that others might makes (see also where the red car pulls out into traffic on opposite carriageway, might have forced on out into his path).

He is concentrating more on getting the car to sound 'nice' for the camera than on what other road users are doing and thats what makes it dangerous IMHO.

As an aside, isn't the positioning of the speed limit change right on a T junction a bit dangerous/stupid ?

How can you tell it's 40 not 30?

Don't think it's particularly bad, just stupid and bleeding boring.

The little 40 repeater signs are the giveaway.

Well, that looks to me like they are zooming along, feckin' stupid of them, given that it is a pretty busy road. The mini wouldn't expect them to be travelling at the sort of speed along that road, lucky he spotted them really.

Nice of them to leave the license plate on though so BiB can do something about it..........

Oh yes. Lucky for me it wasn't an observation test.

Well i am honest enough to own up to being the idiot behind the camera, and what can i say other than. Yes we were wrong to do that, and it wont be happening again, apart from on a track.

Sorry.

Enough said.

Oops my mistake then! still didnt look that fast to me tbh, more noise than anything else, but then maybe I am used to driving a bit more rapidly than I should?!

does seem daft to change from a 40 to nsl right at the junction though.

Although at the time we were having some fun, it is quite obvious that what we were doing was at best irresponsible.

The video seems to have realy rattled a few cage's on the forums. But isnt it interesting that when someone, not by intention, films their mate being mutilated in some horrific accident and then posts it on www.youtube.com nobody gives a toss.

It is also interesting how the issue of badly placed speed limit sign's has reared its head.
