Hope this is the right forum for this. Anwyay about 4 months ago I had an incident with a bus. Basically I was driving alongside in his blind spot, he pulled out without indicating and hit me, smashing the mirror and damaging the door but has refused to admit liability. He simply claimed 'I'm abus, it's my right of way' ignoring the fact that he left his lane without signaling

After this he basically got 2 passengers to lie on his behalf, saying i drove into the back of him. Where they claimed they were sitting on the bus there was no way they could've seen my car, and there is no damage to the wing anyway. The end result is that my insurance won't do anything more than a 50/50. I know I was in the right, but its my word against his and I can't prove it. Am I now bascially stuck with repairing the damage myself? I can't afford to lose my NCD under any circumstances but can't afford to get it repaired properly either

My SO has had a very similar problem, that has ended up 50:50 since after over a year the bus company located an "independant witness" from an empty bus, and the insurance company do not see this as a problem, and refuse to follow up any more.

Will go 50:50 unless you disprove the witnesses. If you have details of where they sat, and the location of damage on the bus, you could take photographs to prove they are lying. Then take the matter to the Police and lodge a complaint of conspiracy to defraud against the individuals and the bus company.

Just trying to be reasonable......
