dont know if this has been done on here yet.

The government’s proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly bill to use it.

The tracking device will cost about £200 and in a recent study by the BBC, the lowest monthly bill was £28 for a rural florist and £194 for a delivery driver.

A non working Mum who used the car to take the kids to school paid £86 in one month.

On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. Somebody will know where you are at all times. They will also know how fast you have been going, so even if you accidentally creep over a speed limit you can expect an NIP with your monthly bill.

If you care about our freedoms and stopping the constant bashing of the car driver, please sign the petition on No 10's new website (above )

Signed

As Reading council have recently announced plans to test congestion tax (just after announcing plans to fcensoredk up the roads), I wrote to my MP to object and ask for assistance fighting this.

My MP is Conservative, and has the narrowest majority of any Tory MP (I think, it's around 400). You would have thought he'd take the time to reply, however briefly.

Nope, this is my 2nd correspondance (of 2) he's ignored!

They're going to be fitted to all new cars soon (EU is pushing for it).

If she's non-working then she's got time to walk.

On top of this massive increase in tax,

Fuel and or road tax will be reduced so the scheme will be revenue neutral.

That won't be able to happen because, as well as the EU fitting GPS to all cars, they're also working on speed limiting technology.

Yeah, right. Do you actually believe this?

And that's a good thing? rolleyes

By the way i simply copy and pasted from another website, the words are not mine.

and if the EU put one in my car, i'll rip the er out!

The single good thing this scheme would do I think(and i personally think its miniscule in comparison to the bad points)is to make it very hard for any dodgy tosser to get a car on the road and drive it around.
But a few chavs off the road in return for living in a police-state isnt a good deal. It's like being told you can shag cameron diaz, but only after someone has cut your knob off.
