A little insight into what we deal with ..
Discussion
Spoke to the boss today, he thanked me for the way the gnome had gone, and asked if I could bring him up to speed with it all on Monday. I said fine, any time's good.
He replied:
"Have to be afternoon - I've got to go on a speed awareness course in the morning"
"?"
"46 in a 40 up Remenham Hill"
All in the name of thinking of the children, reducing casulaties and saving the world.

Educate the bloody kids for christ sake. In my youger days, we used to have the plod come into the playground, and show us how long it took for a car to stop, (no ABS then), and it was very enlightning.
The amount of kids I see who just step into the road with out looking never ceaes to amaze me,...............

Blimey, Educate? There's a thing.
In my youger days, (would that be "younger"? we used to have the plod come into the playground, and show us how long it took for a car to stop, (no ABS then), and it was very enlightning.

Amount in kg, or would that be the number of kids? Unbelievable.
"ceaes", is this a typographical error, in place of "ceases"?
Is English your first language, please?

Is pointing out spelling errors your primary occupation, or simply a part time job?
Part of my job, (teacher), also crowd control, putting up with rudeness, being told to f**k off, not being listened too, and laughed at, (due to lack of support on some discipline issues from senior management).
Oh, and sometimes a bit of teaching.
Let's play nice folks.

Hey andmole you could be a bib I do the same.
For the record there is no way I would be a teacher. You guys don't get guns, CS, cuffs, body armour or a big massive posse to back you up when the poo start flying.
Teaching! Sod that too dangerous.

For those who don't know, Remenham Hill is about a mile out of Henley, has no buildings whatsoever either side of it, used to be NSL, and uphill is going away from town.
In other words the kind of place where one sees a scamvan and any lingering doubt about the parasites' motives finally flies out of the window. With the wholesale lowering of more NSLs to come, this kind of abomination will no doubt become the norm. I can only hope that one too many councillors etc will eventually get caught out, and the death-causing scumbags' unbelievable greed will finally spell their doom.

Recent teacher slogan:
If you can, teach.
Proper phrase:
If you can, do.
If you can't, teach.
The masters of their professions go out, into industry and deliver.
The anuses teach others, that they hope, will.

Obviously somebody who wasn't taught any manners.
Oh and for your information, I have worked in industry, and run my own business, before deciding that a) teaching was worthwhile, and b) because of the current government F**King around with the pensions and benefits system, our business (sub PO), was no longer viable.
I entered the teaching profession at the grand old age of 44, so I have been in the "real world" as you probably think of it.
If you think that teaching is so easy that an incompetent twerp can do it, you try it, and see what an easy life it is.
GB, I wouldn't do your job either mate, at least the scrotes I have to deal with are sober (usually).
Oh and the recent advertising campaign on telly that you refer too, toe curling, embarassing cr@p. The kids on there just do not exist in the real "education" world.

Manners?
Nope. If you can, do.
Go out and run a Corporation. That is precisely what I do and did. I truly cannot remember anything having been taught about manners. If you're right, you're right.
If you're wrong, go and teach.
Why have you had all these jobs, please?

People like you who make a point of being so rude are invariably poorly educated and lacking the necessary basic intelligence to understand how society works and the need for the very best to be involved with the education processes.
Thank God for that (God discarded)
First class Honours in Physics, and Chemistry, and Engineering Science. ( Discarded. Now Combined Sciences)
Diesel Group Engineering Manager (no such title in the UK)
Europe's largest carmaker. (No such role in the UK)

I never claimed to be the best, I'm not that arrogant, (unlike some). Just somebody who happens to think that what I do is worthwhile, and that is about far more than just what happens in the classroom. But thanks for your support anyway.
