Camera van was back in his usual spot this morning blocking the pavement in Whitehill outside the old motorcycle dealership. Obviously aiming to catch people in the recently reduced speed limit zone further down the hill(40 to 30). Whilst I am not concerned whether it is legal or not, it strikes me as hypocritical that the camera partnerships are prepared to compromise safety of road users in this way. It makes my blood boil.

Yep.

Watch them try and defend it in the local press.. Ideally a nice letter with the highway code rules too.

So what was safe yesterday suddenly isn't safe today unless you go 10mph slower? I'm glad people like Vonhosen would instinctively have known that and slowed down when the 40 limit signs disappeared. All of us other criminals however would need to:

a) Block the van if there are no police in it
b) Take photos and get it removed for obstruction
c) Send photos to the local paper
d) Fight any NIPs through the courts so the scammers don't get the money.

I think we're all about sick of these robbers now.

But if it wasn't safe at 40, wouldn't they have travelled at 30 anyway? - Streaky
