Bit of a childish post here from me (nothing new there then ) but i just wondered -

If i was on the bike, rode past a talivan (doing the correct speed limit so nothing wrong there) and then had the urge to give them the good ol fashioned 1 finger salute, could they actually do me for anything?

So long as their video camera is not set up to see your plate then you can make any gesture you want.

If they've got your number plate on video I'd be careful if I were you. I regard the civvies that man these devices as the same as traffic wardens. They can be very petty and will try and do you for something if they can.

On a motorbike you've got no front plate. Make this work to your advantage by abusing them as you drive towards the video camera.
Course they could still jot down your plate but chances are they are too lazy/stupid/don't have a pen to hand.

The Talivan numpties, are they not manned by civilians with no police power?

On a bike I would happily stop and call them all w@nkers. Then cycle off into the distance.

If they have the cash machine set up by the rear doors with them open surely the best idea is a drive by with a super soaker

My 4 year-old niece has got the runs at the moment, so if her mother (my sister) is willing I could always do a Michael Jackson with her (and before any of you sick lot comment, I mean the baby out of window incident, not any of the others ) ... and hold her out of the window as we pass a Talivan/Scamera and let her unload

I give them the horn now because they are persecuting me (or trying to). That's how I see it. Give em the horn and they will notice the change in public opinion. When time permits I may even park in the way and read a paper if it's safe to do so.

I intend to "give them the horn" from now on. The more people do it the more their job will become unpleasant. I think a bit of psychological warfare is necessary!!!

Soulpatch - I doubt very much that they're thick enough to think motorists support their actions. However there are supportive sounding PARRRPPPPPPs and aggressive sounding PARRRRRPPPPPPs I think that are not easy to express on here - but I'm sure you know what I mean.

That's standard practise in Northants. The only time I've seen them using a removable sign they'd lent it against the van. Normally when the little ba$tards catch people in my village they don't bother using any camaera signs at all.
