This is really one for the if he has a moment.

Do/Can the police use laser trap vans at night? Im just wondering becuase apart from one area in Reading that is very well lit, I have never seen them operating on bridges or anywhere else at night.

Is there a reason for this?

Cheers

but you would think that since driving at night can be more hazourdous and less safe than during the day, they would be out in force, being safety camera vans and all that.....

I hope it does not involve a large car, a toe hook and a piece of rope!

So does anybody know if they can operate an LTI 20/20, for example, at night? I've long wondered this myself.

My suspicion has always been that they cannot due to the difficulty of getting the right exposure on the reg. number due to the headlights.
