Had an incident today at the Xscape centre where a car parked up next to mine and opened the passenger door straight into it, leaving a minor dent.

When asked for the personal details & insurance details of the driver he refused, he also tried to stop us writing down the VRM of his car - saying that only Police were allowed to do it.

Rang Milton Keynes police and they responded within 10 minutes, gave the guy a bollocking for wasting their time, reminded him of the RTA and gave me his details.

Last time something similar happened in Essex it took a personal favour for anything to get done about it!!

Agreed GB, thank God.

But, failing all else if you say you thought you heard the third party calling you a racist name or insulting your religious beliefs they'll probably be there before you end the call.

Yes sadly true. Another example of how the police are bullied and demonised by polititians and doogooders who want to use the police for their own little wars and are then quite happy to sit back and not support them after being forced to do their bidding.

The job should always have remained "without fear or favour"

Sadly it seems to be getting done more and more under fear and failure.

The troops don't like it either Turbo.

Aye, it's often a no-win for both sides of the thin blue line.

Well the other party said that we were assuming they didn't have insurance because they were black, and of course it was nothing to do with the fact they refused to disclose any information.........

yes and then spend the rest of the day dealing with the paperwork a call of this nature would entail.
