Get a Road Pilot, concentrate on your driving instead of looking for illegally parked vehicles and hidden cameras, clean licence, no speeding, no worries.

13 out of 19.

My 14 days have just passed, where I *may* have gone past an Essex scamera van in a 40. party

Don't forget, the player is at a significant advantage because it is known that there is a cam in every photo. I suspect everyone will fair much worse if random photos of roads without enforcement were included.

Yes, the revenue vans are well hidden and of course, those drivers most likely to get caught are those looking out for road / driving-related hazards; their eyes / brain won't be tuned into looking for camoflaged / "innocent"-looking vans.

Yes, get the full system with the Radar Detector and they will pick up any mobile unit, no matter the type of gun being used...

Mobile scammers use LIDAR - infrared based laser - you may detect being scammed, but chances are it'll be too late to react. Occasionally conditions will cause some scatter of the beam off other vehicles, but this is rare. Just don't count on it to prevent an NIP.

It is a useful device to get an idea of how the LIDAR is deployed, over what distance, etc.

Also detectors are illegal. I'd be discreet with it if I were you.

Only radar detectors are illegal because they are not totally passive: infra red (laser) detecters are fine.

The warning will save you if you STOP in time. If you drive on your details get photographed, a sudden diversion or 'breakdown' so the video evidence is interrupted (between the speed check and the no. plate photo) will be just fine. Sometimes tailgating a van/lorry may be apparent in these situations....

Its all for the little children remember, and the kittens. Little fluffy and twinkie.
