Police sponsored???

Saw a police van in the petrol station this morning with stickers down the rear quarter 'advertising' Midland Quarry Services.

What the is all that about? Are the police now having to tout themselves for extra cash?

That wouldn't surprise me in the least anymore.

Wonder if the sponsors get a free murder card too.........

Busineses can and do donate vehicles to the police. They can and do put their logo's on the vehicles.

It saves the police buying the vehicle and the money can be used elsewhere.

The company donating do so on the understanding they will not under any circumstances receive preferential treatment.

Its very common.

Somehow, I imagine that should the police not respond to said companies burglary/theft 999 call quickly that next year they donate a reliant robin.....

I reckon certain rich people donated millions on the understanding that they will not under any circumstances obtain a knighthood/peerage... But look what happened there.
