Yellow Line Rules
Discussion
Hello,
I am a regular visitor to Central London and sometimes park in Pall Mall etc in Picadilly on the single yellow lines, after say 7pm.
I have never been ticketed or clamped but was just wondering whether the 6.30pm rule applies here as well.
Also, what about single red lines.
We were out near Waterloo on a sunday and there was a main road which had a single red line and cars were just parked along it with no obvious parking permits etc.
Can anyone shed any light on these markings or add anything else of use to the debate!?
Thanks

Singles will be accompanied with an upright denoting times - it varies all over. Instead of lots of uprights, there might be a single "controlled parking zone" sign on each entrance to the controlled area stating the times of operation.
Single red lines denote no stopping instead of the no waiting restriction of the yellow line, and similarly have hours of operation displayed on uprights.
