Norfolk Shortfall
They need to catch more speeders to balance their books
Discussion
They have saved all that money great! does that mean that national insurance payments will not go up after all? fantastic
And of course now the roads are safer car insurance will come down this year because we are less likely to crash fantastic!
I wont hold my breath.
p.s I seem to reply with the same thing to all these reports. Think i'll save some time and copy and paste in future

This has nothing what so ever to do with speed camera's of course. Nope never even crossed my mind
Thermite is a mixture of iron oxide and aluminium powder isn't it?
- To achieve the mission without disturbing other policing operations and capabilities, and recovery of the costs solely from the fines placed on offenders.
Hmmmm interesting, but how do they intend to fund themselves if they achieve their targets and speeders and thus revenue decrease. Surely the debt will just increase year over year and ultimately be paid for by the public within the county.

The farmers don`t like them robotic policemen.... And I can`t see the attitude changing much either...

Yeah - I know someone who accidently backed into a camera with a hedge cutter so it was looking at the ground about 2 meters away. Shame. Very expensive you know those speed cameras. Arhh Norfolk - great place if you're a numpty - everyone drives well below the speed limit anyway except for the boy racers in every single town, and they aren't going anywhere near the camera's they stick to driving fast in the town centers, not on the quiet open fast roads where all the camera's are....
I actually saw a Police car in my village yesterday (not down my road of course). It's the first one I have ever seen here and I have lived here four years. He just drove through and didn't get out of the car.
In my experience the main problem with Norfolk roads are people (mostly retired) who drive at 38mph regardless of location or the number of cars behind them. Will they now drive at 32?
Probably the best way to counter the senseless automation of policing would be to errect large signs by the roadside on the way out of towns saying "You are now entering a Police free* zone. (*Except speeders)"

Well there was me thinking these things were there purely to save lives *cough*"bullshit"*cough*. Putting quotas on speeding revenue is about as ethical as the police selling on seized drugs. And where will the money go? on more scameras and speed-mountains, of course. If speeding is truly a criminal offence, then they might as well have 'we profit from crime' written down the sides of their cars. Quotas prove that it isn't criminal, just an unwitting extension of road tax... with your mobility at stake.
