"screwed by plod" ?
Did you not suspect before you did it, that if you got caught doing 112mph there would be a good chance you would get prosecuted ?

So driving at 112 in a seventy is sensible then, if you want to drive that fast pays your money and go on a trackday better than a ban and plenty of points

That's an argument you'll never win, archaic as the 70mph rule is, it is the law. I always travel at 65mph officer...

I agree V, but I know that many of us do have the odd moment from time to time. I suggest the OP's use of the word 'screwed' is a little misrepresentive, caught or done may have been more accurate.

I'm afraid you've 'screwed' yourself here ollie, just hope you can put a good case forward for judge

Good Luck....unless you really were driving like a sperm then you gets what you deserve... nono

Nip across to the pepipoo site..for realistic idea based on their experience to date.

Get a good solicitor to argue your case...und mitigate length of any ban

Negiotiate a desk job for duration of any ban.

Choose a racing roady bicycle evil Speedy matters on racing bike .. cool

Inclined to agree with you on that one my friend, but in truth, how many of the members on here 'abide' by the law at ALL times ??

Not the best choice of phrase used in this OP, they were only doing their job..
(And no, I am not a law enforcement agent)

I've done 145mph in a 70. And I wasn't driving 'like a prick'.

Conversely, I passed someone only today doing 45 in a 70 and they were driving 'like a prick'!

So you see Kingkarate, one's speed doesn't necessarily dictate one's level of prickness .

I also pass the 40 mph clubber in 60 mph area. She try every trick in book to prevent overtake - pulling out to sit on centre whites.. hitting brake for no logical reason... und was well und truly miffed laugh when my steady sporty feline of a car just roar into action when ideal opportunity present.

If Topton was pulled because "driver was erratic".. then this driver certainly was .. as she braked ...changed position erratically to pervent an overtake.. und you could visibly see the jerky style of brake und throttle here. I would say she was mid 30s in looks on a glance when I eventually get the overtake opportunity und cop her "unawares" laugh as she could not swerve out on me without committing a moving traffic offence

Safe driving .. ist COAST und experience based. I have driven at toppest speed a sporty Jaguar feline of a car can achieve .. on German derestriced A/Bahn.

The speed .. I will not say.. your eyes will water.. und yet I am still alive after driving alongside Turbo Rolf in his stealth Merc

I have driven at highest speed a car model ist capable of on track day .. in a Moggie.. Stag.. hired track rally und race car as well Scariest experience has to be the Trabi on normal drive in Leipzig - followed closely by trialling my cousin's Trabi on a track day. eek yikes That ist the ultimate of bone shaking experiences. I really thought the Trabi would disintegrate..at one point - but we wanted to see what if could do safely - which was not a lot! yikes

No one on here ist a speed freak - by the way. We like to have the odd bit of fun though .. und I do so legally

Can be; unlimited 2-lane DCs work just fine for the Germans and I can think of many UK DCs where 112 would be no real problem but for a stupid arbitrary law.
