Just another example of the small minded troglodyte bureacrats that run the country.

If this hadn't made the news you can guarantee the scrotes would have made the soldier pay up as well

he will still have to pay as the court will sit again and still find him guilty ( wether he was or not)!

It just shows the tossers for what they are. He's out fighting for his country while his country is busy stabbing him in the back.

I despair with you lot....
Mistakes like this happen all the time in all walks of business life. Just because this one happens to involve a speeding ticket you automatically assume that the system is bent, over-beaurocratic or unfair.

Get a grip. Change the record.

Hear hear. Eveyone makes mistakes and I shouldn't imagine that a bit of newspaper coverage would be a legal reason for changing the process.

Its a shame the same approach wasn't taken with those who make mistakes on the other side of the fence ie accidental speeders. No mercy or understanding given there, just a £60 fine 3 points and a fcuk off thank you for the business.

Typical government good guy bashing.Won't be surprised if they jail him.If he was a burglar instead of a soldier he'd get a five pound fine to be paid in 100 weekly installments and a weeks holiday in the Cotswolds at tax payers expense

Hear hear. Eveyone makes mistakes - yes we do as drivers as well and we get £60 and 3 points unless we are proven innocent so I have NO time for the cts who do make the "mistakes" in the offices.

Maybe THEY should get 3 points and £60 for every clerical mistake they make that way they would know what having their job and life on the line is like....

Best reply yet...yeah we all make mistakes but when its these w*nkers they deserve all the stick they get. I hope after reading the newspaper report they all got in a car and drove it of a cliff...Harsh I know but thats the way I feel!
