My girlfriend has just recieved 2 speeding tickets for going through seperate Gatsos on the same day. I was told by a friend that you can only be prosecuted once per day even if you get caught multiple times by differnet cameras in the same day, is this true?

Thanks in advance

no! AFAIK

You can even be done by the same camera multiple times the same day and they all count!

Agreed.

The only exemption to this would be if your speed had not changed. For example you drove through two cameras 100 yards away from eachother. That way you may be able to argue that it was a single offence captured by two cameras.

If both offences happened on one journey, on the same road with the same speed limit, and the cameras were fairly close together, then you may be able to argue that both speed camera activations form part of one offence.

Sorry didn't read Justinp1's post properly, it says more or less the same.

An anecdotal story which was told to me was about a local bus driver.

He was on a route unfamiliar to him, and pinged the same cameras on this route several times throughout the course of his shift.

Lost his license.......

Ok cheers guys. She knows where the cameras are and when I asked her why she hadn't slowed down for them she said she didn't think they were working. Bloody women.

Cheers.

She will know for next time. And her insurance policy will remind her too I suspect.

One of two things could happen

1. The photo of male with long blonde hair, lipstick and slap may just draw the attention of SCP
to a fiddle, cause an enquiry, court case and spell in HMP (if there is room), or

2. A possee of pink suited males stalking you.

I find that hard to believe. He'd have to be completely gormless to not spot the camera all day.

Not to mention speeding in a bus.

Somewhat Ironic that it was the Crown Court building that it crashed into, perhaps the driver doesn't like judges.......

They were not seriously injured .. a bit winded und one had a cut knee per the rest of the story on page two of the paper.
