Currently the main road to which my road runs off of, has a temporary one way restriction in place, due to Gas Works

And the one way is being ignored big time stylie - to the point at which I've had several near misses with people zooming up to the end of said road and then taking to the wrong side of it in order to exit it just as I'm turning in (current turn in speed is about walking speed - just in case some pillock is coming the wrong way)

So if I had an accident (which I'm having to try really hard to avoid at the moment) who would be to blame? Me for failing to avoid a car that is on the wrong side of the road flouting the 1 way, or the idiot flouting the 1 way? i have to say if the worst does happen someone is going to get lamped - twice I have blocked people from driving up the road the wrong way.

FYI any Traffic or BiB's around the Sidcup/Blackfen area, park your Motor on the A210, junct with Ramillies Road and get your ticket book ready you'd fill a book in a shift - I did have a "word" with the local Area Car but they didn't seem too interested.

Its got to be the 1-way dodger's fault. Not only are they breaking the law, but if you're following the 1 way then there is no 'wrong side of the road'

You'd get crapped on if you had a crash going the wrong way down a 1 way street

I agree with oj, going against a one way sign = in the wrong, crossing over the white line = wrong

Agree with the first two. You are in wrong if driving or cycling the wrong way down a one way road yikes

One question.. why so many flouting this law. They missing the sign for some reason? Or ist recent one way system?

Or are they all just plain censored banghead ranting ?

The one way system has been in since November

It is clearly marked at one end of the Road that it is NO ENTRY the correct signs are up (at the other end it's sign posted one way)

It's mainly locals ignoring the signs. I understand that one invididual has has a meeting with one of the local buses - he drove the wrong way up the road and straight in to it as the bus turn into the road (going the correct way)

I must admit I have taken to driving very defensivly down the road and generally refuse to give way to the muppets coming towards me and have pointed out to someone that they were driving the wrong way - "so what" was the polite version.

Th other day Von wrote that people who commit minor motoring crimes are likely to commit bigger crimes, at the time I wasn't too sure I agreed, but there a lot of people in the Sidcup area, who are looking distinctly un law abiding.

As I wrote in my fist post a Traffic unit BiB would have a field day
