Driving into Hull on the M62/Clive Sully Way, there used to be a litter of tallivans having a good old zap, usually at times of the day when the traffic was flowing well. And, to be honest, just in general there was a fair few of these sodding things. However, now there appears to be none, or very few. My girlfriend got pulled the other day for speeding by a.........wait for it.........traf pol!!!
He pointed out that 50 wasn't particularly fast for that road (a wide 40MPH) BUT, it was very icy, and she'd obviously not noticed him as she didn't slow down, and that her speedo was probably indicating 55 which was 'talking the p**s' past a police car, especially as she was on her mobile at the time.

Deserved I reckon. Had her in tears in the back of the car, and she came away with 3points and 60 quid fine.

Good stuff. are the SCP's yesterdays news do you think?, bugger if you build up a business then the income dries up!, infact in Hull I can't see how they get any cash at all now as everyone drives as if in a carnival procession.

Actually, funny you should say that, while outside my house on Tuesday, I witnessed a 'pocket rocket' being pulled by a battenburg BMW. I remember thinking to myself, 'That's something I haven't seen for a long long time!!'

Its simple - they now park them all in the villages outside of Hull, such as Dunswell, Woodmansey, Coniston etc. All in areas that used to be nationals and are now either 30s or 40s.

Ouch! Better warn the ex then, she takes M62 - North Cave - Walkington - Beverley - Hornsea. Since she's already done 3hrs drive from Reading by the time she leaves M62 it's usually spirited driving anywhere that isn't a vilage / town.
