Got bored doing a search, so can anyone point me in the right direction of current rear number plate regulations, including lighting regs?

Me oh my, you must be bored rigid.... Uk speedtrap guide has a section on construction and use, includes the dimensions allowable including borders etc.... there, now im bored too!

Cheers, that covers most of it, but what about where and how the number plate is mounted on the car?

Had quite a comical pull a few months back while driving without a front plate – traffic cop spent too long insisting tape is not a satisfactory way of securing one.

In the end I got bored, walked away from him, crouched down in front of his T5 and asked what the hell his plate was held on with.

'It's bonded,' was his reply.

'It's bonded with tape,' I showed him, as I slowly began to peel back the plate...
