Plod on Bridge over Motorway
Discussion
On the Motorway today, and noticed a car sitting on a bridge up ahead. As I went under this bridge, the car moved forward and stopped over my side, I proceeded straight under it. There was no access to the Motorway from that bridge.
Because it was a dark Omega, with dark glass, I suspect this may have been Plod.
If this was an unmarked car (Could not see inside as the windows were darkened, and the window was up), what type of devices are they fitted with to catch you speeding? If its just vascar and video, do they have to pull you there and then, or do I have to wait for the NIP? or are they fitted with the cameras ala Talivans?
Thanks.

Nice to see welsh plod hiding their talivan in the hedge on the M4 junction 24a to magor with 2 scameras pointing down at the westbound carridgeway with a couple of biker plod waiting on the slip road back onto the motorway , was tempted to circle the roundabout and kick the fcuking things over

When was this , I haven't seen them doing this from the Christmas Holiday time.
Maybe they only like doing it at the holiday periods when there is a lot more unsuspecting tourists.
Did the van hide behind the hedge on the slip road (so that is was not obstructing the roundabout) and the cameras sit neatly on tripods.

It was yesterday they were parked in the hedge on the right hand side at the top of the slip road on the west bound side of the M4 and the bikes were at the bottom of the slip road rejoining the motorway , the scameras were at the top of the 1st bridge of junction 23A magor services if i was on my bike i would have kicked the fcuking things over

Coming up the M6 (after J16) on Friday evening (8pm) I was surprised at how light the traffic was . . . until the dreaded brake lights in the distance foretold something more sinister.
There was an accident after J17 and a Porker was in the central barriers and a Eurobox was on the hard shoulder. Everyone had to filter into lanes 1 & 2 and this caused a delay of about 20 mins.
Only a mile after this traffic jam there were TWO police 'safety' vehicles (one Terrano and one Volvo estate) on a bridge over the motorway setting up a camera each obviously to catch any motorist trying to make up lost time.
Now if only the had set the cameras up a mile down the road they would have stopped the Porker/Eurobox crashing and no-one would have been held up
