sli[p road exit wrong way!
Discussion
A45 billing aqaudrome this morning, traffic grinds to a halt, nothing moving for next mmile or so, everyone in inside lane, turn back UP the slip road, the wrong way just to leave stationary traffic, Oh well i thought why not! got to the top, make a gap for police rangey' who i fondly imagined wanted to race down to the, accident site, but no out pop both BiB's and start lecturing all 50 or so of us "what does the highway code say about slip roads sir"
ME; "i was just following the tribe mate" sorry and all that
BiB; well thats what they'll all say i spose' don't do it again you'll be the last one in the line to go ta da
Me; hoping he hase'nt clocked the PH sticker next to my head "thank you officer and goodbye"

That happened to me once only the other way and not impressed. I was comming down jcn 22 M5 southbound slip road. Its blind and came accross someone reversing up cos he took the wrong way. Anchors on and managed to avoid him. Both lanes of the slip road in use so no go around, just stop and a potential pile up as cars behind not expecting me to stop etc. Lots of flashing and swearing and he changed his ickle mind and went on.
well its not uncommon to be redirected off even a motorway after a substantial pile up, it it become a moot point when i arrived, as i say, the whole of lane 1 simply about turned up the ramp, 'fair enough'
like the cop said, "you'll all say the same" i woulde'nt expect him and his mate to book such a large number of motorists for the same thing, he just turned them all the fright way around after letting me go. i just thought as he made for my car, oh here we go, book the guy in flash car, as usual!

Blimey that was like 4-5 hours ago, like i say i was suprised the plods were'nt in more of a hurry to get past us and onto some serious sorting out oh well.
Some years ago, a mate got caught by plold at leicester junction M1 backing off the slip road as he'd made a mistake, they gave him a hard time, and his reply was, "How will this affect my placement at hendon as i'm due to join up in the summer"
they let him go, and yes he got recruited, no names eh (and where the hell is everybody this weekend i'm bored)

lol at that story! When I was younger, dad was a one for frequently getting onto the wrong sliproad on the way to football matches. I remember him reversing up several sliproads with hard shoulders, never got caught though thankfully, although came close a few times!
PH is quiet today isnt it! I wanna go out for a drive, but most of the roads round this way are way too busy for a decent drive and I cant be bothered with sitting in traffic.
