Might have to rally watch your speed going round that sharp bend near Bredbury! (J25)

Yep - but it's got to be said, in anything other than only-car-on-the-road type traffic conditions it really isn't safe to be going much faster than 50 anyway - there's not much leeway if things go pearshaped at all.

Yep, so the cameras will mostly be having an effect on drivers when conditions are clear rolleyes

Course there is! Two bloomin great big concrete walls on either side keeps you travelling in the same direction!

which way ? I noticed them going clockwise from Denton to Stockport.
1 in each lane and 1 on the exit slip road to Bredbury.

I didn't think anticlocwise had the 50 restriction.

That way - clockwise. I think I was too busy concentrating on leaving a big enough gap on the Toyota tailgating a Peugot in front of me

Clockwise only, live from Sunday 1st April and non lane dependant (ie changing lanes won't work). They ironed out that problem ages ago on the specs.

Incorrect. Any "ironing out" would have required new type approval, which hasn't happened.

Either the lane-changing works, or the SPECS nearest me aren't live.

Nottingham ring road has Specs all along it, lane changing does work, tried and tested daily

Stand corrected. Them must have ironed out the interface but not obtained approval to use it. Yet.

This morning there were half a dozen unwilling victims overtaking me in between cameras... kerching.

RE changing lanes and type approval - half way through the SPECs zone there is the Bredbury off ramp and this has a camera on it. How can it measure your speed if it doesn't know which lane you have come from?

Not willing to test it, but it's either linked to 1 of the other cameras and rotated or just a dummy.
