...errr, at what distance do the forward facing cameras take a piccie? I'm fed up with numpty drivers SLAMMING on the brakes so far from the camera. Atleast with the old fashioned cameras you knew it was AFTER the post... Admitedly I don't have to worry about such things, but the number of panicking drivers nearly causes an accident in ********* county where these things are littered.

Depends on how far in front of the camera the little lines are laid.

Usually 10m or so!

With Truvelo the photograph is taken when the front wheels reach the three white speed-check lines painted on the road. Speed measurement takes place just before those, about 5-10 metres.
