Policeofficers are human too ...
Discussion
Was having a quick blat on the bike on Sunday around Datchet, Wraysbury etc.
Was behind a few cars, just came out of a 40 limit, now on a nice long straight followed by 30 limit in the distance.
No rush to be anywhere and spotted plod by the road.
Didn't adjust speed as wasn't going fast, just keeping up with traffic. Suddenly realised that I had no idea what the speed limit was, no signs around and was heading into the 30 as per the signage.
Entered the 30 limit, looked behind to see the other side of the 30 limit signfrom where I'd just been - nothing.
Turned around, went towards the police car, pulled over and asked what he thought the limit was. His reply:
"I've no idea - I don't even know if anything is enforceable! It's all recently changed around here"
Ho hum.

The majority of coppers are human and enjoy the same things we do. Providing your not driving dangerously some will let you on your way.
I remember exiting Goodwood last year and being told by the officer on duty to 'give it some' up the road as he loves TVR - duly obliged leaving a nice set of tyre smoke and black lines whilst getting the thumbs up from him.
