Hi, justa bit of info.

not having my Snooper with me.

Last night (about 9.45pm) so really dark along this main road, was a copper at the end of the road, or near the end, in a hi-vis jacket and his car parked next to him, and he holding his camera.

There was a lot of traffic, and not sure if I got zapped.

question

1> it was realy late/dark, does this effect anything ?

2> I thought that they would pull you over into the layby and give you a ticket (didnt see anyone else pulled over)

3> could he have said to his mate in the car.. Vauxhall xxx reg 123 4567 speeding at 35mph, would this be enough, did not see any camera photographic equipment just the hand held unit.

what the chance of a NIP in the post and if so, would this be a 14day wwait ?

thankxs

If you were speeding, it'll come in the post. They don't stop you up the road nowadays.

No, the hand-held device is the corrobatory evidence, the initial idea that the car is speeding is the initial evidence.

Is it still true that full beams can affect/invalidate the reading?
Or have they solved that?

one other thing,

doing 55 in a 50 (with a scamera van) is that nickable ?

see below from some where on the Net

"I received a fixed penalty notice and I was only going 32mph in a 30mph zone.
It would be extremely unusual for any driver to be fined or prosecuted for travelling at 32mph in a 30mph limit. The police do not operate at levels often described as “zero tolerance”. The guideline issued by the Association of Chief Police Officers is not to prosecute motorists unless they are recorded as going at 10% plus 2mph over the posted speed limit. In the case of a 30mph limit that would be 35mph. This is to safeguard against any discrepancies there might be between speedometers and police equipment. Should you believe your penalty to be unsafe in any way you could seek recourse to the courts."
