Coming home from work today, I noticed a scamera van parked up on Crawley Avenue, (A2011), from M23 (J10) towards Crawley Industrial Estate, just past the slip road from Balcombe Road

In 10 years on living in Crawley, this is the first time I've seen it..

That was there a long time then as a colleague noticed it at about 3pm. Especially as the car which had just passed him at speed, saw it, slammed on the brakes and skidded across the road!

No signs there for one either.

Well, I was sitting in the queue waiting to get to the motorway and a Bently Continental GT comes hooning off the roundabout, giving it beans, trying to shake the scooby on his back bumper.... Something tells me the scamera man certainly bagged a brace there....rolleyes

I went past this ... it was an ANPR van with associated pursuit car/s up the road - it had a speed camera sign up but they always seem to do that.

Ah, OK...did see a cop car further down the road, never thought to put them together... Anyway, I guess then could still nab you if you were speeding.

It has been there before.

Oddly enough, dual carraigeways are one of the
safest types of roads and there are no
pedestrians anyway.

Also, you can't measure safety in miles
per hour.

Some more here

www.bbc.co.uk/southerncounties/travel/wsx_speed_cameras.shtml

A definitive list of the mobile ones would be nice.

As I said earlier - it was ANPR at this location ....... they don't do speed.
