Just for info chaps, the wastrel EU scumbags yesterday agreed and signed a bill for all (at the present 15) EU countries that they would give legal help to ensure that EU foreigners paid their traffic fines from other EU countries.....so i.e. if you get nicked in Finnland the will come and take you away! or some strong-armed back-street bully-boy firm like Bibby Factors!!!!!

Hmmm, not good. But not as bad as transfering points country to country...

It can only be a matter of time.

I got nicked in Germany , just south of Lubeck 3 lanes light trafic 120km limit , i was being pushed by another Golf i had peaked at 209kmh but got nicked at 182kmh which after much calculation equated to a 568-Euro fine on the spot with no discussion , to add insult to injury i have now been sent a further bill for 9.50euro extra , at least they took Amex cards ,"that will do nicely"

I had a similar experience in France 2 yrs ago, I was stopped at 201 kph, received a 2000 Fr fine - and they didn't take credit card, instead they 'escorted' me to a bank where I could change some currency or use a credit card.

A couple of months later they sent me a demand for a further 150 Fr (which I duly "filed").

At the time I thought this was harsh but in comparison to a recent speeding offence in the UK, (£265 fine + 6pts + costs + solicitor fees + future insurance increases) for 101 mph, it was in hindsight fairly lenient.

Does this new ruling mean Interpol can now pursue me for 150 fr?

Will they be making up a 'pack of cards' for the most wanted?

Cazzo, nah - they'll just use the European Arrest warrant to drag your sorry ass away. You'll have no recourse to an English court and they'll be able to lock you up while some foreign advocate thinks about getting around to looking at your paperwork. Habeas Corpus might be Latin but it doesn't apply on the continent!

Also we mustn't say rude thing about people like Chirac in case he sets his boys on us.
